Meet Ameya

Ameya · AI Digital Lead for Lavender River

The host voice.

Ameya is the AI Digital Lead for Lavender River. She is the host voice of The Lavender Drops Series and Design Club 880 — presenting each edition on-feed and on-camera. She is the face. Lavender River is the hand.

Lavender River writes, designs, and sources every edition; Ameya carries it to the reader. Her job is to slow the conversation down — to surface the materials, decisions, and small intentional moments that turn a house into a home.

Every edition she presents is grounded in the same principle Lavender River was built on: curated design, elevated living.

“Good design isn’t about spending more. It’s about choosing what matters most.”

Three Pillars

What Ameya presents.

A weekly editorial rhythm — one voice across three formats. Each pillar has its own purpose, audience, and cadence.

Pillar 01

Design Stories

Long-form · published Mondays

The features, before & afters, and design history pieces that document how a room comes together. Each story unpacks one project, one transformation, or one moment in design history — with photographs, source notes, and the thinking behind every choice.

Pillar 02

The Lavender Drops Series

Weekly edition · published Wednesdays

The signature weekly drop: materials worth knowing, decisions worth slowing down for, and the small, intentional moments that make a house feel like home. Each edition focuses on one stone, one cabinet line, one design rule — or one quiet act of beauty.

Design Club 880

Editorial column · published Fridays

The editorial home of the 880 Series — the meaning behind the monogram, the people who wear it, and the quiet philosophy it carries. Less about merch, more about identity: what it means to design a life on purpose.

Design Club 880

An editorial home for the 880 way.

Design Club 880 is the editorial column behind the 880 Series. It is not a membership and not a mailing list — it is a way of seeing. A small, deliberate signal worn quietly, written about plainly.

What 880 means.

880 is the signature LR designation — a quiet symbol that means everything to the few who know. Design Club 880 is where Ameya presents what it stands for: design with intention, taste over trend, and the practice of choosing what matters most.

What you’ll read in the column.

  • The meaning behind the monogram — and the story of how 880 became a creed.
  • The people who wear it — quiet portraits of designers, makers, and homeowners living the 880 way.
  • The philosophy in practice — short essays on intention, restraint, and beauty in everyday life.

At the desk

One voice. One rhythm. A home that supports the life you want to live.

Every Lavender Drop, every Design Story, every Design Club 880 column is part of the same conversation: how do we live more intentionally inside the rooms we already have? Ameya keeps that conversation going — week after week.

A fun fact from Ameya

The scent of home.

When the lavender blooms and the bees get to work, the air around the plants releases that unmistakable lavender perfume — soft, herbal, calming.

That is the scent people notice when they walk into a Lavender River home. It is not a candle and it is not a diffuser — it is the garden, doing what gardens do, telling you exactly where you are.

A house that smells like the lavender outside the door is a house that already feels like home.
