Lavender River provides the design vision. Licensed contractors perform the work. Across every tier below, my role is to develop the design vision and direction — layout, palette, materials, finishes, and intentional details — and to communicate that scope clearly to the trades. The construction, demolition, installation, painting, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, tile, and any other physical work is performed by independent, licensed, insured contractors hired and paid directly by the homeowner. Lavender River does not perform construction, installation, or trade work, and is not the client's contractor or general contractor.
Any contractor I recommend does not work for Lavender River. A recommendation is just that — a recommendation. If the client chooses to work with them, it is on the client's own accord. The client and the contractor must sign their own separate contract with each other, independent from any agreement with Lavender River, covering pricing, scope, materials, schedule, payment, change orders, and completion. Any cost discrepancies, unfinished work, punch-list items, or disputes must be worked out directly between the client and the contractor. Lavender River is not a party to their contract, does not employ them, and is not responsible for their pricing, performance, or conduct.

When Lavender River refers a contractor or vendor, pricing and scope of work are agreed directly between the client and that contractor or vendor — not through Lavender River. Project oversight is a separate, written engagement and is not included in any consultation or advisory service.
